Oud (also known as Agarwood) is the dark resinous heartwood that forms in Aquilaria trees (native to Southeast Asia). Oud has had ancient significance and religious connotations and is sometimes used as incense in temples. As a result this is a multilayered and complex scent redolent of thick smoke, honey, wood and green shoots. It is also the world’s first naturally scarlet scent!
